Millet

Till the last decade of bygone millennium, the whole chambal region used to be dependent on rains. So due to non-irrigation, the farmers preferred the crops which could grow without being nurtured with the underground or cannel water system. The climatic conditions remained always befitting for millet produce. Hence, it has been a main crop in this region since the prehistoric period. People love to eat it by processing in different ways, such as its roti, maheri, laddu etc.
